UK is one of the best auto-markets in the world but you still can’t buy every vehicle here such as these four beauties shown at Moscow International Automobile salon 2014

The Moscow International Automobile Salon 2014 has a lot of new vehicles on display, but there are some beauties that you will never be able to buy in UK because these will never be sold in UK. However we have selected four of those beauties that have impressed our media team at Moscow International Automobile Salon 2014 floor.  This sole purpose of selecting these vehicles is to appreciate the auto makers for putting in immense efforts to make these beauties a reality. There is a list of wonderful electric vehicles from global brands displayed at the show but unfortunately none of them will ever going to touch UK soil.

Russian auto market is quite a different market place comparative to European, it’s largely dominated by SUVs and crossovers in the major outbound areas while hatches and saloons are used in the cities. That’s why the automakers offer a vast range of their products in Russia than any other market around the globe. Let’s have a look at what we will be missing in the UK.

1-    Citroën C-Elysee

The all new Citroen C-Elysee was first introduced at the Shanghai Motor Show last year, and the vital thing about this vehicle is that it is mechanically identical to UK version of Peugeot 301 and it is built in Spain for Central European markets. It is powered by a Citroen engine internally known as PSA VTI 72. It produces 72bhp with great fuel economy of 56.6 mpg. This engine has the performance tweaks to run efficiently on different fuel qualities, depending on regions.

2-    Datsun on-Do

The on-Do is a compact saloon that is introduced to compete in the Russian markets with low price strategy. It is exclusively offered at around 400,000 Russian Rubles that are equal to £6,684. This saloon is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine with 85bhp, and a five-speed manual transmission.

3-    Lada Kalina NFR

Lada is a local Russian company which has introduced a hot version of Kalina hatchback at Moscow International Automobile Salon. It is powered by a 1.6-litre engine to produce 138bhp. It has new styling accents and air intakes on the bonnet. It is comparatively swift on the road and covers 0-62 in just over eight seconds.

4-    Toyota Venza

One of the curiosities of the Moscow International Automobile Salon is the number of American models put on show. Toyota is presenting its latest Venza crossover at show; available with two Toyota engine options either a 2.7-litre four-cylinder or a 3.5-litre V6. Both engines are good at fuel economy and save you a lot on refilling.
