What Abu Dhabi is up to?

Dubai is famous for so many things, whether the tallest building in the world – Burj-ul-Khalifa – or the biggest manmade island – Palm Island – or the legendary Dubai Police Squad. Every single entity has a significance of its own, but the fleet earned a reputation of having the most expensive cars than any other country in the world. It consists of McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari FF, Lamborghini, Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg  Agera, Aston Martin ONE 77, Nissan GT-R, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, and BMW i8.

Now it’s Abu Dhabi’s turn to show the world it is not very far behind its sister city Dubai. So after acquiring a Rolls-Royce Phantom, Abu Dhabi recently acquired the Lykan Hypersport. It cost the department almost £2.21 million, making it the third most expensive car in the world.

Why is it that expensive?

This high-performance cop car is made by W Motors, the luxury manufacturer, who planned to produce only seven examples of it.The most fascinating feature is the diamond encrusted headlamps. The interior is laid out in such a fashion that it reminds of “Star Trek”. It is absolute work of genius, isn’t it?

What engine goes in it?

This beautiful beast hosts a 3.7-litre, twin-turbo flat-six powerful engine which is capable of producing 770 horsepower and 708 pound-feet of torque. This combination is so powerful that it takes just 2.8 seconds to reach 62 mph from a standstill and keeps on going till it reaches 240 mph, its top speed.

Although most of these cars are being used for marketing and public relations, but if you plan to make a run after any criminal activity in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, you are advised not to. These cars are super fast and there is absolutely no way you can outrun them.
